Fan floor coil connected to boiler (temperature ~80oC)

Good Practices

  1. Once the fan coil has been fitted with a high temperature supply, we consider it ideal to install a three-way valve, which can be controlled by the controller, and when the return of air to the bottom catches the desired temperature, it will cut off the further supply of hot water. This will save the unit from future wear (themanufacturer suggests a temperature of up to 60 oC) and employees from thermal discomfort. Here I note that Midea’s rationale for not stopping the fan is not to stop the heat switching and create an issue in the unit (in its sensitive parts, not necessarily in the element).
  2. Connect the controller according to the attached images, which although irregular, at 2 operating speeds can “cut” the fan when the desired temperature is reached.
